Jordemoderhuset offers two types of insemination: Insemination in the clinic or assisted insemination at home.

Both treatments have in common that they are primarily aimed at women under the age of 35 without already known fertility problems.

The treatment occurs in your home or with us in our cozy clinic.

Through them, you buy the sperm and get advice on this.

When you order, you can choose us as your healthcare professional. The midwifery house thus ensures the correct handling and the administrative work involved.

You/or your partner can do the insemination, or we can do it. It is entirely up to you.

Of course, we also offer an acupuncture treatment in connection with the insemination at home, which is relaxing and challenging to achieve pregnancy.

Insemination in the clinic:

• Contact us for an initial interview
• Contact the European Spermbank regarding the purchase of semen
• Agree on a date for insemination with us (ultrasound scanning can help determine the best day for this)
• The sperm arrives at our clinic, and the insemination can be carried out
• We recommend that you stay in the clinic for an hour after the insemination
• We offer an early scan when pregnancy is achieved
  Together with you, we report the pregnancy so that the rule on traceability in connection with assisted pregnancy is complied with.

Assisted home insemination:

• Contact us for an initial interview
• Contact the European Spermbank regarding the purchase of semen
• Agree on a date for insemination with us (ultrasound scanning can help determine the best day for this)
• The sperm arrives at the clinic, and we go to your home and do the insemination.
• We offer an early scan when pregnancy is achieved.
• Together with you, we ensure that the pregnancy is reported so that the rule on traceability in connection with assisted pregnancy is complied with.

Procedure for the treatment itself

We dry the sperm straw we brought with us. All sperm straws from the European Spermbank contain purified sperm. This ensures that the most viable and best sperm are used for the insemination. The semen is then drawn into a thin syringe, inserted deep into the vagina, where the semen is deposited.

The sperm then find their way to the egg themselves. The entire procedure is done gently and is painless. The treatment takes quite a short time, but we recommend lying down and relaxing for an hour.
